Welcome to Jonas, Ulrika and Ylva Öhrnell
About us
Welcome to our web site. Here you will find information about us, and the whole big
family.
Here's a simple guide some of the pages.
| Genealogy
|
 | Our family tree, mostly ancestors from the counties of Jämtland and Västerbotten, in
the north of Sweden. |
 | In 1993 I helped Canadian (Victoria) Dave Johanson trace his Swedish ancestors.
Dave's grandparents emigrated from Offerdal, Jämtland in 1904. Here you can see the
result of my research. All information is in English. |
 | The known descendants of "Botsmarksmor" Maria Andersdotter (1763-1833) from
Botsmark, Sävar, Västerbotten. My relative Märta Wallmark has worked a long time to try
to trace all descendants. I have helped her creating a database of all information. Here I
publish the results. Please contact me if you have additional info about emigrated
descendants. |
 | For those of you with ancestors from Ekorrsele and Granö, Degerfors
parish,Västerbotten, I also have other material of interest. I have the saved
correspondence between my grandfather's parents and their friends, dating from 1896 to
1904. You get a good feeling for the everyday life of a small farmer by reading them. The
letters are written by the following persons
Matilda Jonsson (Granö, Ekorrsele, married Eriksson 1880-1937)
Anna Jonsson (married Jakobsson f 1874)
Clara Jonsson (Granö, Näsland, g. Wiberg f 1869)
Jonas Jonsson (Granö, f 1877)
Jon Larsson (Mesele, Granö, f 1829)
Arvid Eriksson (Ekorrsele, 1873-1955)
Augusta Johansson (Knaften)
Elsebett i Mo (Norge)
Johanna Persson (Ekorrsele)
Maria Persson (Ekorrsele)
Mina Eriksson (Ekorrlund)
Nils Oskar Andersson
Nils Jakobsson (1872-1919)

All my genealogy pages, except from the ancestors of Dave Johanson, are only
avaliable in Swedish on this site, due to their size. I can however mail the info in
GEDCOM format, with at least the basic information, such as birth dates, in English. The
notes will be in Swedish. |
| Luleå 1808-1809 |
About the sufferings in Luleå parish, Norrbotten, during the war
between Sweden and Russia in 1808-1809. Detailed information about individual farmers and
their contribution to the maintenance of both armies during Russian ockupation. So far
only avaliable in Swedish, but you might yet find some information. Don't hesitate to
contact me if you have any questions. |
